Blade Runner 2049

I was thinking some more about the Blade Runner 2049 film and realised that the director totally missed the nuances of the 1982 movie...

For example in the original Blade Runner film who exactly was the bad guy? Tyrell? Deckard? Roy Batty? Kind of hard to say.

Tyrell made organic machines that people wanted to buy.

Deckard only killed replicants because he was blackmailed/coerced into doing it.

Roy Batty was an escaped slave seeking freedom.

In the sequel film the baddies were more obvious. Like in a teenage slasher movie...Sad really.
