The Indesit bully story...

Ever since our Indesit washing machine exploded last month I've been dealing with the complaints dept at Indesit. The main point of contact is a rather unpleasant character called Margaret who feels that hostility, antagonism and bullying is the best way to handle someone whose washing machine exploded... I've received a number of truly nasty phone calls and letters from Margaret.
And then last night, Sifu answered the phone... Yes!
After a very professional, polite conversation with Margaret, Sifu had simply ignored all of Margaret's aggression and stripped her ego to the bone. He catalogued one-by-one each and every example of incompetence shown by Indesit and Margaret herself.
"I'm quite sure that you can do better, Margaret..." my husband assured Margaret as he ended the call.
It was beautiful; a masterpiece of applied taoism; straight out of the 36 Strategies 'Kill with a borrowed knife'. Sifu didn't even look pleased with himself. It was just normal for him. Margaret probably resigned from her job.

It reminded me of the 1960's Prisoner TV series episode Hammer Into Anvil in which Number 6 encourages Number 2 to destroy himself. Awesome show of power.

Never mess with a kung fu master. I've never seen him lose any conflict.
Hadrat Ali - "I've never met any man who did not help me against himself."
Sun Tzu - "He wins his battles by making no mistakes."
