Aeon flux anime

The Aeon Flux TV series from the mid 1990's retains its anarchistic zeal almost 20 years later.
Great fun; sexy, subversive and cool.

Sadly, the confused live action movie had none of the ambiguous, kinky feel of the TV show.
It was tepid and boring.

Bunny

We turned our back garden into a meadow and pretty soon a guest moved in.

Saddleback

A Saddleback leather pouch arrived from the US.
Sadly the customs fee was enormous.

The pouch itself looks really nice but the strap is awful: super-thick leather and seemingly made for a 9' tall person.

My next project is to make my own webbing strap with D-rings to replace the Saddleback strap.
The price of the bag continues to rise...

Blockbuster dying

With our local Blockbuster video store seemingly dying we tried Lovefilm.

So far I'm impressed.

Oz

The pace of Oz The Great and Powerful was quite pleasant but the movie was so-so.

Superman kills

It is hard to imagine Christopher Reeves's Superman causing as much destruction to property and life as the Man of Steel did.

Krypton

The Man of Steel depicted Krypton in a manner that borrowed heavily from The Chronicles of Riddick, The Matrix, Star Trek: The Next Generation (The Masterpiece Society episode).

The Man of Steel

We enjoyed the film but felt that it exemplified the taoist concern: a blade over-sharpened will not hold it's edge, a bowl over-filled will spill over.

An hour less of action would have made a better film.
The nervous system dulls when the stimulus is unrelenting.
