What was wrong with Disney's live action Aladdin?

Well, pretty much everything. So damn awful! I switched it off after 30 minutes and that was generous. The American accents of the 2 young leads were so bad - drawly and millennial. Will Smith was too OTT. Just didn't work at all. The baddie was utterly weak. The production felt like it belonged in another era; maybe the 1990's? Given the high calibre of Marvel movies, these shabby offerings are just not good enough to warrant a night of my life.

My friend sent me this today:

"My cousin has been here for a few days and we've been visiting our elderly female relatives. They are in different parts of the family and don't know each other, are in their 70s and 90s, both have been tastefully dressed in dresses with tights. Their daughters are middle aged and have given up. Meanwhile their granddaughters (women in their 20s) are completely fake, from eyelashes to lip fillers to nails and hair extensions. They 'contour' their faces so they look like shop dummies.

I dread to think what THEIR daughters will be like...

It just seems to get worse with every generation."
